Henry VI Restored, Angel, 1470-1This coin was minted in the six month period when Henry VI was restored to the throne between October 1470 – April 1471 largely due to the influence of Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick. Henry had very little ability to rule after many damaging years in exile and captivity and was simply a figurehead for Warwick to exert his control over the country until Warwick was killed at the Battle of Barnet by Edward IV’s Yorkist forces.
