Richard III, Angel, 1483

Ex Strauss collection, Sothebys, 26 May 1994, lot 60, catalogued as Edward V with a footnote about the debate over attribution, since proven to be Richard III.

Ex R C Lockett collection, English collection, part II, Glendinings, 11 October 1956, lot 1645, catalogued as Edward V and as the finest of four known specimens, sold for £360 hammer. It was the most valuable angel in a collection that featured over 130 coins of the same denomination.
