Ex Ryedale Hoard – one of the 65 Anglo-Saxon coins unearthed in North Yorkshire in May 2012. This particular ‘church’ variety is one of the earliest English issues struck at York after it was regained in 927 and its reverse may depict a representation of York Minster.
